Thank You

I would like to thank all the people who prayed for me and/or gave a word of support at the Ameristar Casino in Vicksburg, MS (January 26-29), after I found out that my grandmother in Chile died, then falling on my elbow before the gig, spending some time in the hospital while the band was performing.
When I came back to the casino from the hospital (at the end of the night), I had all these wonderful people giving me hugs, asking how I was feeling and telling me that they were praying for me.
I would never have thought that I would be treated so good.
Also thanks to Troy (who played the bass for me!!!), Aaron and Kevin Tate (who came to visit me at the hospital, drove me back to the casino, helped me write a report for casino security, drove me to the pharmacy the next day to buy the medications - you were so nice and I didn't even know you!).
Thanks to you and all the people in the Mississippi/Louisiana area, you guys are the coolest people!
kisses + kisses;

Tokyo Adventure (Jan '06)

After arriving from a really long trip from Nashville to Yokosuka, on the next day still feeling very, very tired, four of us decided to take the train and go to Tokyo all by ourselves.
This time we had no Aika and Toshio (see blog entries 'Impressions of Japan' and 'Sightseeing in Japan' July 7, 2005), because they were out of town, and I couldn't get a hold of my other friends, so going on our own was the only solution.

After buying a bunch of wrong train tickets (always getting our money back), getting lost a million times, trying to ask people which way to go using sign language, crossing the whole town to find the Tokyo National Museum, we then found out as we got
there that all the museums were closed due to the holidays. We ate food that we had no idea what it was, but in the end, it all felt really good, especially because we did it by ouselves!!

kisses for all;
Amanda
