All Girl Band?

First of all our thoughts and our prayers go out to Lisa and her family. Lisa's mom is having some serious health issues so please put her in your prayers. When the hospital called, Lisa had to make a decision...Not a difficult one....she went to be with her mother. We had some shows already on the books so Lisa had to find a female drummer to take her place. First of all, there is no female drummer that could take Lisa's place so she did the next best thing....she called Brian. Now guys just imagine what it is like to be on a bus with 6 girls.......(poor guy didn't know what he was getting into) I have to say Brian did a great job. He even learned all of our originals. He was pretty impressive but everybody knows we are an all girl band. So something was missing.....Ya you know! We took it easy on him the first couple of shows but for the last one we wanted him to really know what it was like being in an all girl band. So at Jezzabelle's in South Carolina the owner helped us out. Mel had all the right things to turn him into a girl right on stage......So We Did!!!!!! And once again.........Mustang Sally....All Girl Band!!!!!

Brian, you were a blast.... thanks for being a good sport and thanks for doing such a great job. Tobi Lee

Angel Ride....2006

We are truly blessed as a band. We were honored last year to get to play the Angel Ride but when they asked us to come back this year that's when you feel like you are doing something right as a group. This is one of my favorite places to play. I love the stage and I love the crowd...but most of all I love what this event stands for. Refer to the Angel Ride in our archives and you can read why I say that.

Okay not only are we playing for a good cause but we get to share the stage with one of the best groups in country music ....LONESTAR!! This was our first show with them and they are a great bunch of guys. After the show we all hung out and talked and they are as great as their songs. I just have to say thanks to the people who bought tickets and supported the angel ride....once again I had a blast....Tobi Lee

Lucky Us!!!!!

Okay, I am gonna go on the record and say...Mustang Sally has the greatest friends and fans in the world. I am going to tell you about our friend Beverly. First of all, she has been supporting us for a few years now and every time we see her she still finds a way to make us feel like we are the luckiest band in the world. We were playing at Delta Downs Casino and we are on stage and then we see Beverly. First she comes in bearing gifts. She gives each of the girls a birthstone angel bear, but that wasn't all. She keeps coming in and out with more in her hands. She brought me a really cool glass guitar to sit on my table and brought Rachel a necklace for our birthdays, she even made a wedding album for Sarah (it was beautiful).
But wait, that is not it......I got a chocolate birthday cake.....Rachel got a pumpkin pie....Then there were oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip, peanut butter chocolate chip and nuts and sugar cookies. Then there was a fruit basket. Also, chocolate covered marshmallows, and chocolate covered peanut butter cookies....Okay I could go on and on with everything she brought for us but we ate it all and I can't remember everything that was in the baskets. Oh did I say...this was all HOMEMADE!!!!!!! Well I could stop here but I have to tell you she even brought a stuffed Milk bone toy for my dog. So Tiki thanks you Beverly. He loves the toy and I love the way it squeaks....All Night Long!!!! Along with the shirt you bought him I would have to say he is the luckiest dog and we are the luckiest band in the world. This is a picture of Beverly and below is a picture of Rachel, sampling one of the many items. I gained 10 pounds from that weekend. We love you Bev, thanks again....Tobi

Heritage Harbor Days

Well, I guess I have been slacking a little bit on our blog. I guess with the holidays and wrapping up the festival season I got a little behind. So I will catch up the last month or so...But first let me say...HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!

These are a few of the shots taken on stage at the Heritage Harbor Days. This is a really neat event. Every year they pick a sister city and bring the culture from that city into town. So this year Foley, Alabama paired up with Lafayette, Louisiana. So Louisiana came to town and brought their local flavor with food and crafts and they just share their culture with the folks from Foley. Every year there is a different place so it gives folks a chance to see what other parts of our country are like. As you can see by the pictures it was a really cold night. We were bundled up from head to toe and so was the crowd. But we played through and the crowd stayed through and we had a great time. I suggest if you are in the area next year....go check it out...Tobi Lee
