Chop the Mop

It finally happened: I cut my hair.

I realize this will have grave implications on world peace, the stock market, and my water bill, but so be it. I was in dire need of change, so it was cut the hair or move to Alaska. Hair won.

Funny things have been happening since I cut it though; people haven't recognized me, my husband thinks I'm even hotter, and someone asked if I still retained my magical powers with short hair. (I'm happy to report that I do.)

So here for your viewing pleasure is a link with photos of the dirty deed.

Enjoy!

Wild Adventures with Montgomery Gentry

This was one hell of a show.....Not only was the stage great but the people were awesome. I want to thank everyone who has wrote in on the website. We really appreciate the comments. These are a couple of pictures we took from the stage.

We had to do another show that night at the Mellow Mushroom after we played this one. So while talking to Troy Gentry backstage, we mentioned this and he kept saying he was gonna come over after the show. We thought he was kidding, but sure enough the band and crew and Troy came rolling into the club and I thought how cool is that! He is a man of his word. He even promised a little girl at the Wild Adventures show he would ride a Roller Coaster with her and he did. Montgomery Gentry is not only an awesome group but they're Awesome Guys......Thanks to the Crowd and thanks to the Guys. It is a day we will never forget.....Tobi

Karaoke!!!!!!!

As I said, we were snowed in so let's do Karaoke all night. When we showed up everyone was there and we were ready to sing whatever we got signed up for. I have to say this Iowa crowd knew how to sing. We heard them get up and sing some great stuff and we got up and sang........Maybe not such great stuff or at least songs we have never sung before. I sang with one of the girls from the concert, then Brenda and I sang "Does He Love You," then just for fun

I signed Rachel up to sing Achy Breaky Heart......which was her first time and it was great. She didn't even know the song...So I was entertained. Then we got the owner of the casino up and Brenda and I sang "Goodbye Earl" and he was our Earl. Then the whole band got up and did "Love Shack." We were having a blast......

At one point during our concert I was joking and went into a rap.....Baby Got Back... But a group of girls in the crowd wanted us to get up and do it at Karaoke....So we did. What a long song...with a lot of words! So after that I went to bed. I had so much fun hanging out with everyone and singing. It was a great time. Thank You Iowa....Tobi

Iowa CountryFest...Riverside Casino

I was looking forward to this show because they had some incredible groups playing at this weekend festival...Little Big Town played the night before we got there and on Saturday The Wreckers and Mustang Sally. When we arrived in Iowa there was ice and snow on the ground and it was only going to get worse, but we were ready to have fun. In the picture to the left is a picture of Rich and the band. He was so good to us. We were snowed in for a day and Rich took care of us and made sure we had plenty of food and fun.

After eating lunch and watching The Wreckers play we sound checked and hit the stage. I want to thank the people that drove in horrible weather and came to the show. We had so much fun...The crowd was there and ready to party. We didn't care what the weather was doing.
So in the dressing room before the show we were talking to Rich and the band that was supposed to play in the casino that night had to cancel due to weather.....so we thought it might be a good idea to get some Karaoke going on. Rich agreed and there was a couple who lived just up the street that could come and set up the Karaoke so we thought why not invite everyone at the concert to the casino club afterwards and we could sing all night. Well that's what we did........I just want to say it was a great show thanks to the crowd. Iowa Thanks for the Party...Tobi
