College Station, TX with Earl Thomas Conley

We play a lot of venues throughout the year but this place ranks up at the top. The whole entertainment complex was pretty unbelievable. The stage was great and the crowds were incredible. This is called The Starlight Music Series and we were sharing the stage with Earl Thomas Conley.
How do you precede a country star with 21 number one hits? You get on stage and have the time of your life.....
Thanks to the crowd, it was easy to do. This is a show we will remember. Having the moat around the stage is pretty cool but next time I'm just swimming across it.
We can't wait to see you all next year and to the city: free concerts at this venue is a great gift to the community. I hope everyone had as much fun as we did..... Tobi

Texas State Harley Rally

Okay..... is everything bigger in Texas?? I know we had a big time. I loved this crowd. They participated and sang and danced. As you can see, they are all on their feet raising the roof.
We even got one gentleman on stage and he danced....and then took his shirt off......Take a look at that ladies..... That's a biker's body...
To get to play in Texas is a big deal but to be the show at the state rally was so cool for us. We even have a couple of girls from Texas in the band. So it was neat that Rachel's family came to the show. Rachel, as you all know, is extremely talented. But where does that talent come from? Answer: Her Mom and Dad. We even got Dad up to play with us and pretty impressive....
This was just a great time for all of us and thanks to mom and dad for the brownies. Dad, keep up the playing, and Texas.............. WE CAN"T WAIT TO COME BACK>>>>>> Tobi

Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort Panama City Beach

If you are going to vacation in Florida, this is the place to stay: Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort in Panama City Beach. This place has everything you would need. It is right on the beach, they have miniature golf, numerous swimming pools, even a waterslide, places to eat, laundromat, grocery store and the famous Tiki Bar. Tell Garry Mustang Sally sent you.
They took such great care of us for the Thunder Beach Bike Week. We had a blast. We got to hang out all week and just listen to great music and hang out on the beach.

The Tiki Bar even gave everyone in the band T-shirts and we all wore them for the show and I even wore official Tiki Bar pajamas and we just made it a big slumber party on the beach.

Down Time in PCB

This is not a side of Lisa that most folks get to see....Unless you're sitting behind the drums. But I had to blog it anyways.....
We don't normally get to enjoy days off while being on the road but we spent a few extra days in Panama City Beach and the Sandpiper Beacon Resort really took care of us. They set up tee times for us at two fantastic golf courses. The first couple of pictures are from Signal Hill golf course--a great place to play and the folks were so friendly to us. By the way I love my Pink and White glove guys.....
Then for the second day, maybe we were tired or maybe it was the fact this is a PGA qualifying golf course, but we played The "Hombre'." Wow..... There is a reason we play music and not golf for a living.
I can't count the number of balls lost but at one point someone had to search for the ball because it was the last one they had..... I won't mention names...All joking aside, we had a blast no matter how high our scores were...... and just so you know the lower the score the better. Thanks to the golf courses and if you are in Panama City Beach, Florida you should check out Signal Hill And The Hombre' golf courses. Don't worry about clubs-- they will rent them to you. But if you play like us bring lots of balls. Thanks so much. Can't wait to punish ourselves again. Tobi

BBQ Fest - Vidor, Texas

What an incredible time we had in Vidor. Every year they hold this BBQ Festival and bring in great entertainment and have delicious BBQ competitions. I don't think I can eat any more brisket any time soon. We all had our fill! The concert was so much fun. These ladies were on their feet the entire show!
At one point during the concert, Tobi noticed four high school girls doing some choreography right down in front of the stage. We were singing "Mustang Sally" and we invited them up to dance with us. By the end of the song, I almost had their dance routine down...almost. You can see in one of the pictures I'm giving it my best try.
If you've been to the Vidor BBQ Fest then it's very likely that you have met Ronnie Herrera, Vidor Chamber member and just an all-around zany guy. He helped us out all day long making sure we had drinks, food, etc. He stole the show when he jumped on stage and danced with us. But I think he was just trying to get even with us for all the times Tobi borrowed/stole/hid his golf cart earlier in the day :) He thought he was losing his mind until he caught on that we were messing around with him and his cart.
Thanks to everybody for the great day, delicious BBQ and, of course, the Texas-sized hospitality. Hope to see you next year. bz

Fishin' Chix

This was a pretty neat event that we had the opportunity to play.....Fishin' Chix. So I bet you're wondering what this is. Well let's just say that women can put on the bait and bring home the big one.... It is a female fishing club. These are professional fisherwomen.....
It's the Pink Rubber Boots..... Ladies Fishing Rodeo....These ladies know how to have a "Reel" good time.
This event was held at a venue called "LuLu's" in Gulf Shores, AL which we come to find out is Jimmy Buffet's sister's place..... so I will tell you all the singing runs in the family. This is Lucy singing away on the microphone and it was pretty cool if you ask me. Go On Girls and I hope we see you again soon.....Next time maybe we can go fishing too.

Sandestin, Florida

This is a great little community nestled down in Destin, Florida.....Not only is it beautiful but it is a lot of fun.....We played an outdoor show with families and we had a great time....

There were so many kids dancing and singing. I have to admit a couple times this little girl stole the show. Finally I just gave up and let her have the stage. We can't wait to come back and have a little fun and get some more sun...... Tobi
