Going Home!!!!

For anyone who knows me, I hate flying!!!!!!!

So when we walked out on the tarmac and I saw this Little Bitty Teeny Weeny Itsy Bitsy Plane.... I thought @$#%&^I can't get on this thing. I walked around and built up my confidence....then got on the plane. I have to admit as we were taking off.... Well let's just say I passed out for a few minutes but thankfully I woke up and we were in the air. Two nerve wracking hours later, we landed.... SHEW!!!!!!!

Sorry in this shot I hadn't redone my make-up yet, but at least Lisa and I were still smiling.

I have said it before in previous blogs, don't fall asleep around us. I have to take a moment and thank TONY for taking care of us on this trip. We loved it and can't wait to work with you again. But still, don't fall asleep around us.

This is Tony in the airport, obviously still thinking he was on the last flight. We're Safe......
Sarah however was not safe from the camera..................
Sleeping Beauty.....

Ha Ha!!!!! Gotcha Jake.....

Four airports...... Four planes....... and 19 hours later....... HOME SWEET HOME. Thankfully we did make it back home safely.

Can't wait to do it all again. Thanks again to Tony and MWR.

The Airport Hanger

We had to fly out so early the next morning, but there were so many folks there to wish us a safe trip back home.

So we got to hang out, meet everyone and take some pictures.

I want to give a shout out to Ed for the live show shot.....Loved it.

I want to say thanks for everyone being so nice to us. We had a great time. I hope we get to spend more time with you guys when we come back Memorial Weekend in May. Until then, take care. Tobi

The Aftershow

After our show, MWR had a nice little set-up with some food for us back at the base. So we got to sit around and talk to some folks and hang out a little. This is just a shot we took by the Christmas tree.

And this is a shot of Mustang Sally with Mr. & Mrs. Craig Basil (MWR). Thanks again for having us and making us feel so welcome....See you in May. Thanks for asking us back. We look forward to it.... Tobi

Showtime In Guantanamo

I know you might hear it a lot but it is the truth: getting to perform for the troops is one of the best feelings any group can have. When you get to go to a base like Guantanamo and perform, you feel honored. Then after you feel that......You feel like you need to get on that stage and give it everything you've got.It had to be one of the most appreciative crowds we've ever played for.... Thanks. Many military men and women raise their families on bases so when we noticed all the children in the audience we knew it was time to bring the party to the stage.

Singing and dancing to Mustang Sally I have to say this was my favorite part of the show. The kids were great and danced great.

This was just a great show for us to put on because of the crowd. I'll say it again.... Thanks to the men and women in the armed forces for protecting us and our freedom. See you in May..... Tobi

Christmas Parade with MWR!!!!!

Lucky us....

After arriving and getting sound check out of the way we got to be a part of the holiday festivities.

MWR (which stands for Morale, Welfare, Recreation) had a float with our name on it so we could be in the parade with everyone else. We were on a boat. So if you wanna know what floats our boat....FREE CANDY!!!!!!

We threw out candy and had an absolute blast....
I just want to say thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Craig Basil for the boat and candy they provided on behalf of MWR.

What you don't see in this picture is when I got my head caught in the wreath and the police had to come and cut it out..........Just kidding, but it does sound like something I would do.

This is probably one of the funnest things we've got to do as a group.... and I have to say the neatest thing about the parade is they gave trophies to all the participants and even presented Mustang Sally with one.

I did break off one little piece of the wing but it got home intact and I proudly have it displayed in my house.

So Merry Christmas again to all the troops and their families. Thanks for letting us come and spend the day with you and thanks for making us feel so welcome...... Tobi

Welcome to Cuba!

First let me introduce everyone to our gracious host....LYDIA!!!
She was there to take care of us while we were in Cuba....... You go Girl!!!!

Our first order of business..... Get on a boat and go from one side of the base to the other. I hope you took your dramamine......This was actually a good little boat ride.

What a beautiful place. I guess no words really describe it so have a look for yourself.

It was great to get to the venue and get to our rooms. This was the view from our room. Nice. Well, gotta go.... SHOWTIME>>>>> Tobi

Cuba Or Bust!!!!!!

Okay..... There is so much to show you from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba
I have a lot of pictures and for the first time in my life I don't have a lot of words to say.... So this is the first leg of our trip.

We started out in Jacksonville, Florida and we are heading to Cuba....

This was one of many planes we had to board.... We will get to that later.

Brenda..... I don't know what part of the plane she's trying to board...

Ahhhhh.... There's the door. And..........
WE ARE OFF!!!!!!!

CUBA OR BUST!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Jade!!!!!

I would be lying if I didn't say the fans are the reason we get to play music.... But I have to say our younger fans are the ones we can truly make the biggest impact on. So when Lisa (fan club member and Jade's mom) wrote to tell us Jade wanted to come and see us for her birthday but she couldn't come to the show, we decided to have a little get together during sound check. For those of you who have followed the blog, we met Jade over a year ago when she got on stage with us and played her pink guitar. She also dressed up as me (Tobi) for Halloween.
We thought it was great she wanted to see us for her birthday. So here's to another great year and.......HAPPY BIRTHDAY JADE>>>>>
