Rileigh & Raylee Angel Ride Foundation

What an amazing crowd of people to play for...we were blessed with the opportunity to entertain for the Angel Ride Foundation. This is a Foundation that helps families get the care for their children when they are struggling. They help with hotels and food and they do anything to take some pressure off the families and I think it is a great cause. Oak Hollow Farms in Fairhope, Alabama was the setting and it was a big show to celebrate a good cause. .38 Special, one of the greatest rock bands ever, and us. It was a night we will never forget.

After the concert was over came the best part of the night....We got to meet a very special young man.Raylee....he is to the left in the picture and that is his best friend on the right. Raylee wasn't talking much...so we asked him if he had a girlfriend..in a very shy voice he said no... then much to our surprise he turned and told us his best friend has quite a few.....Needless to say his buddy got embarassed and boys being boys they started playfully shoving one another...
well I can tell you this Raylee.....You have seven girlfiends....now!

After the show and loading up, we took off for the long drive home. Lisa, Sarah and myself (tobi) do all the driving but lisa and sarah drove all weekend so I took the shift home. After driving for about 4 hours I stopped for gas at the Co. Line Fuel Z off 65 and I went in and walked to the Krispy Kreme donuts....(I needed a sugar rush for the 169 miles home). As I opened the case the ladies said go ahead and take them all. I turned (because I wasn't sure I heard correctly)and once again the ladies said....No really take them all............SO I DID!!!!!!!!

Rachel and Michelle.....Mustang Sally thanks you for the near 100 donuts we are gonna eat.....
3 donuts later, we were home.
What a Great Weekend!

Rick Lance Photography

We have been working very hard this year...a new cd, writing and recording our new originals, and when you do all that you have to get new pictures...No these are not rick lance's pictures. These are just some shots that I took while we were getting ready.

Mustang Sally wants to thank Rick for what are going to be the best pictures we have had. We will post some of his shots after we have chosen our favorites....and it is hard for seven ladies to agree on our favorite picture but what we do agree on is Sandy.. she did a great job on our hair and make-up. She had to make over all of us and when she was finished we all agreed....She did GREAT!
As for the way we dressed....Thanks Felisha for helping us dress our best. I agree with Sarah--I felt like a rock star, too! Sandy, Felisha, and Rick......we thank you for everything!

Trick or Treat

Well, I wasn't kidding when I said we were going trick or treating.....
I have to tell you I had a great time. We went to a few houses...then we discovered this new way of trick or treating called trunk or treat......local churches set up raffles and games....and kids go from car to car and get candy. I know I said kids but for an evening we dressed up and we acted like kids.....yes we played games and we got candy..and the coolest thing was the church didn't care how old we were....as long as we were having fun...

Not only did we dress up and go out...but yes I dressed my dog up (Tiki) and he went with us....with a bag around his neck the good folks of Nashville gave us candy and him dog treats....

It was a great Halloween...................

Fall Reflections

This is mildly odd, but I'm actually sitting at a Mustang Sally photo shoot as I type! This is the real deal, complete with a makeup artist, mood music, and lots of flashy camera lights. I feel like a rock star! Very, very odd...

The month of October was filled with late night/early morning drives, where I witnessed several very magical moments. Crossing a bridge by Chattanooga at 4 am with a full moon over head glinting off the river and mist wrapping around the mountains had me convinced that unicorns were going to start running across the interstate. Driving through the smokey mountains at 5 am was a similar experience; though when I told Lisa that I thought there were unicorns in the mountains, she said that if I saw unicorns, it was time for me to stop driving!

We played at Myrtle Beach yet again, and I frolicked in the ocean. I also sunburned, and was on the receiving end of the hands-down worst pick-up line I've ever heard:

Guy: I sure would like to tie you up with that there hair!
Me: Excuse me?!
Guy: That means I think you're pretty! I'd like to tie you up!
Me: ::horrified look::
Guy: Oh, I'm not a pervert or nothin', I just... yeah.
Me: Okay then! Nice to meet you! ::quickly walking away::

Rachel even witnessed the whole conversation, so I know I'm not hallucinating.

Biggest cool point of October: opening for and getting to meet/hang out with Rockapella. Not to mention seeing their show! The only thing cooler would be opening for Weird Al, which is now my new goal in life. Hmmmmm....

Well, the camera beckons, so I'm off to be glamorous. Wish me luck.
